Wow that’s cookin’! …
Wow that’s cookin’! The ceramic element didn’t get very hot- the air got lukewarm, but it won’t be a winter car anyway.

cool beans! it worked out thats great. cant wait to see the tempature output by your heater element. my 1500watt element get the water pretty hot up to 160F. i am going to have a vid of it soon.

In world of EV’s “If it dosen’t short, it gets an A+ on the report”. Maybe you could by pass the temp slider with an electrical dimmer knob or something?

When I had it open, there was a big long flapper that controlled whether the air went through the heater core or not; this was attached to the cable. Oh well. It works, so I’m happy.

i think the temp …
i think the temp controll cable goes to the waterline that used to go to your heater core. on my truck it does any way. there is a little flap valve it attaches to that turns the hat water on and off. so the cable doesnt need to be hooked up anyway. thanks for posting you proggress!

Thanks Blair, I haven’t heard anything on the plate since I brought it back. I’m hoping next week? I haven’t contacted the guy that will be making my coupler yet; I probably will next time I’m home.
