The insight is uglier than the 2009 prius in my opinion. The 2010 prius is ugly as well. The 2009 prius has a more aerodynamic look and looks cleaner with its lines. The 2010 prius and insight look like wavy sunflower seeds. At least the old prius doesn’t have such a high rear quarters, which in my opinion makes it look like a van.

Why would they put in a CVT instead of manual then? There has got to be a good reason. Probably less parts than a manual, less overall maintenance. A CVT can be controlled, but it isn’t as durable as manual and hence why they restrict you to control the CVT.

Im not an environmentalist but here is why I think the average Joe who considers himself patriotic should be driving a prius; the more money you spend on gas = more money going outside the US to the middle east, so put it this way,
Hummer= Anti-American – kinda like a terrorist.
Prius = Patriotic
surprised how many people feel patriotic driving their gas guzzling SUVs around with all that extra gas money going outside the US. Wake up people!

People calm down. Prius is still a very very very good car ( I want one so bad) but this insight is also a great car. For people that cant afford the 24k sticker price (and yes the 2010 prius is going to be more money than the current gen ) this insight definatly wins because of the lower sticker price. I love both cars, but it boils down to which one i can truly afford.

Prius rules. People always compare cars with the best one in its class. Oh and by the way that’s soon to be the old Prius. The new one which comes out later this year is way better than the old Prius. Honda copied the old Prius. The New 2010 Prius looks way better then both of those cars. I can’t believe I am saying this but the new 2010 Prius actually looks pretty cool. Its MPG will be even higher to. My 2007 Prius can go 500+ miles on one tank. It only takes 8.5-9.2 gallons to fill that tank.

if i had to chose between these two i would go for the toyota all the time. prius has been out longer worked out all the kinks in there cars, insight just came out and who knows how screwed up it is.
