jamesdildo,
It seems like your mindless ertion came back to bite you in the rear. Just as I had stated, the speculators were the main cause behind the “short-term volatility” that even you concurred with. The energy market ran out of gas, speculators pulled out of the market, and prices ultimately plummeted. Market needs “sensible” speculating layer for liquidation but the other extreme of the spectrum would cause price fluctuation which hurts everyone at the end. Admit to it.
Lower gas prices. …
Lower gas prices. Lol.

Must increase …
Must increase supply for short term price reduction. So release US reserves and then force Iraq to sell they oil to US cheap to replace our reserves. They owe us!!!!!!!!
DRILL HERE. DRILL …
DRILL HERE. DRILL NOW. PAY LESS!!!
Ethanol is the …
Ethanol is the worst fuel to use. Farmers are growing more corn for the increase demand of ethanol and not planting as much wheat and other crops so it is increasing the price of food. Oil is the most practical fuel because its always there readily available. Wake up people we are not running out of oil there is oil everywhere all we have to do is drill for it. No matter what all you liberals think and how much you want to change it will be the fuel for the next 50 to 100 years.
I agree 100%! I …
I agree 100%! I just hope the rest of america will wake up and see the truth as well.

Some of this true …
Some of this true other is BS.
Its goverment money which invented nuclear power, Government money pretty much made just about every major advancement in society
Neo-Cons blame …
Neo-Cons blame liberals for 4$ a gallon gas prices when they set the middle east on fire and took alot of that oil off the market.
While at the same time they inflate the value of the dollar to pay for the war that also contributes to the rising prices.
The Heritage Foundation is a paid think tank that has no credibility and nothing that this guy said here is true.
what?
what?
How about not …
How about not invading oil countrys and taking the oil off the market.
This guy is what a …
This guy is what a fascist is all about-he knows that hedge funds are driving the prices but he is just leading totally away from what really causes the high prices!
search for a video …
search for a video called The Energy Non-Crisis and watch the whole thing, it will amaze you
pkscolax, could you …
pkscolax, could you explain how pump prices would skyrocket? It seems to me that, in having a rationing plan the government would be telling the oil industry that there is only so much we are willing to take. The plan could also be used in case of a national emergency such as war. Rationing would ensure that those who depend upon gasoline for their livelihood would have the commodity available, which would stabilize the economy. I would not implement such a plan unless gasoline were over $6.
Hope that’s not too …
Hope that’s not too hard for you to follow.
Furthermore, …
Furthermore, originally the Framers were very careful about avoiding the words “slave” and “slavery” in the text of the Constitution. Instead, they used phrases like “importation of Persons” at Article 1, Section 9 for the slave trade, and “other persons” at Article 1, Section 2 for slaves. Not until the 13th Amendment was slavery mentioned specifically in the Constitution. There the term was used to ensure that there was to be no ambiguity as what exactly the words were eliminating.
The Constitution? 2 …
The Constitution? 2 places and I quote Article 1 Section 2 “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons.” Excluding Indians? 3/5 of all other persons? Sounds high-handed to me!
The 3/5 thing that …
The 3/5 thing that kept the minority whites in power(mainly in the South) while diluting the majority African-Americans, wait a minute, they were still slaves then and even that not entitled to the same rights as white men. While a few Indians did practice scalping, Europeans like the Visigoths, Franks, and the Scythians were doing it centuries before any known Indian. It is widely believed that Indians picked up the practice from Europeans.
So again you’re …
So again you’re saying that we’d get good policies if only the “right” people were in power. Clearly, if US foreign (and domestic) policy is any measure, we currently have very much the *wrong* people in power. But how is this anything but an admonition (if not outright condemnation) on our republican democracy?
Tell me where in …
Tell me where in the US Constitution it says whitie is better than the black man? Don’t give me that 3/5 thing either.
I didn’t know scalping and tomahawking was a Spanish tradition.
Yes, I had a …
Yes, I had a history teach try to tell me once that 75 million American natives were wiped out by small pox brought over by the spanish and others. But then I called him out on that noting that historians don’t even know exactly how many people were even in the Americas at that time. He then covered himself with “Well we don’t really know.” Nice answer.
Make no mistake …
Make no mistake about it, we invaded here. The Spaniards were treated like Gods until they kidnapped their king, all for Gold. The Spaniards did not wipe them out, smallpox did brought by Spaniards.
Read the …
Read the Constitution, it gives settlers the rights to own property, including slaves. Why do you think four amendments had to be created before African-Americans got their freedoms?
Blackfoot Indians got their practices from Spaniards and other settlers as far as torture goes. Do a little research. They had been swindled, enslaved, removed, institutionalized, starved by the Office of Indian Affairs, etc. Check out the Marias Massacre, read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, learn something.
No where in the US …
No where in the US Consitution does it say whites are superior to everyone else, please don’t race bait like all liberals love doing.
I don’t deny my history, I’m proud of it. I’m glad a hand full of Spaniards wiped out the vile Aztec Empire. I’m glad the US Calvary wiped out Blackfoot Indians who loved to tomahawk settlers and rape and gut them after scalping them. You think Indians didn’t disembowel people? You Aztecs were morally equal to the Spanish?
