Petroleum companies have actually been backing out of Arctic Refuge drillling for some time now — long before Obama was elected. You’ve been bamboozled by industry propaganda, friend. As for drilling offshore, residents of Santa Barbara CA could tell you what’s wrong with that. Let’s invest in clean energy and efficiency instead.

Oh and the “he will not spend billions to drill offshore comment” The government is not the ones who spend billions, the oil company does. The government makes billions off of big oil because of all the perments and such that oil companies have to pay the government for the right to drill,look it up! Do you know that over 75% of the rigs off of the gulf coast damaged in Katrina have not been fixed because the perments are so expensive that it is cheaper to just build a new one!!

You know your comments are very ignorant! So just because we will not see any oil for 5 years ( more like 10 ) that is justification not to drill now? What will happen in 15 to 20years if we do nothing now? Guess what. Over seas oil will not last forever! Do you understand that our refining capabilities are less now then they were in 1942? we haven’t built any new ones in over 30 years! The wind does not blow all the time nor does the sun shine 24 hrs!

You again fail. Why spend millions and millions of dollars for off shore drilling when we already have offshore drilling and oil we haven’t even got to yet. What you say makes no since cause Barack Obama is going to use search for other forms of energy. He just doesn’t want to drill for more oil infect the environment the water, the air, the animals when we wont get to any oil for at least 5 years anyways. McCain is going to still get oil from foreign countries. You fail again

He just isn’t going to spend billions of dollars making more off shore drilling when we have a lot already and we have oil we haven’t even used yet. Its a fact that getting to any oil will take AT LEAST and thats AT LEAST 5 years to get any oil. Well how are we going to get oil in the meantime? Were going to get it from foreign countries.
