I think normal pay per year for a newly educated teacher is about 56000 dollars. So it’s alright I guess.

15 miles per gallon is terrible. In the late 70s there were many cars that got close to 40 miles per gallon. There are vehicles in the world now that get 80 miles to the gallon. Saying 15 miles a gallon is good sounds very naiive to me.
