Agreed, our mainstream transportation needs should be fulfilled by an energy source that won’t run dry or poison people.

Of course, I think Gasoline should still be available for those who wish to maintain vehicles which demand traditional fuels, like vintage cars and motorcycles. Getting rid of these hobby vehicles would be a borderline cultural genocide (lol) and a conversion would probably defeat the purpose. I mean, could you imagine an electric Dodge Charger? Go ahead an tax it, though.
