What is everyones opinions about the current gas prices?

Posted by admin as Gas Prices

With the gas prices being at a record high, what is everyone's thoughts and opinions about it? How do you all feel about paying high gas prices? I'm curious to hear all your thoughts and opinions.

Gas is only $4 a gallon. Is everyone in here unemployed? It cost me $84 to fill my tank that's about 3 hours at work..You could save money if you got off the Internet and stop using your cell phones.

the bubble will burst and it'll be back down to $20 a barrel, opec will be fcuked and we can all laugh at them driving around in our 4×4's.

i think the gas prices are going wayyy to high. when i came home today my brother said he had to pay $64 for gas. years ago it was less than a dollar for a gallon of gas as a lot of people say but now its about $3 for a gallon. that's just riduculous

For right now it's astoundingly high. Oil per barrel broke another record ($130) today. Gas is $4 a gallon here. I still hold out hope that they will go back down eventually, but how high will they have to go first?

I think that the government decided that Americans keep buying the gas even though the prices are ridiculous.

I think the prices are just going to get higher, then decline after awhile.

Its crazy.

Maybe we'll finally get going on other forms of energy. That wouldn't happen with lower priced fuel. Ford and GM are cutting back production of larger vehicles. We'll all get through this and we'll be better off because of it.Just ride out the storm it's not the first time this has happened. It's past time for the auto makers to get us vehicles that are more focused on economy.I've often wondered why the auto makers haven't manufactured wind turbines so we can power our homes and businesses.

THEFT.

Theft by the OPEQ Nations.
Theft by the Large Gas suppliers or (suppLIARS).
Nothing more than everyone in the corprate WORLD raping the hell out of every consumer, not just in America, But Canada, and Europe as well.

On top of that you have every Grocery store jumping on the band wagon raising their prices, and in the end it is for nothing more than PURE corporate GREED.

Honestly how much money is enough.
24 billion last quarter for exxon or shell i forget in profits.

No one will ever convince me that By the gas going even a dollar a gallon higher does that transfer into the additional costs stated and seen at the grocery stores. They are not transporting 1 twinke at a time , a semi transports hundreds of thousands at a time, so even adding 3 cents per item much more than makes up for the raise in fuel costs.Lets say at each leg of producing items the cost is increased for shipping raw materials by even 10 cents per item. It still does not justify the 1 2 and three dollar per item increases.
It is price gouging by corporations for more money.

It will never stop until you me and the guy next door make it stop,If every american ,every single one stood up and made examples out of stores the rest would drop in line. If we stood up and said (all at once ) we are not buying anymore and the whole friggin corprate america was not given their profits for a week they would change policy. Same for gas.
But truth is we will not, and they know it. We are so pressed for keeping above water that we are unable to come together as people, and consumers and stop what is being done to us. So theres my little rant, heard by few, disreguarded and left to whither away like the cash in my account.
Corprate america wins again.

Gas used to be 50 cents a gallon and people earned $2.00 per hour. Now gas is $5.00 a gallon and people earn $20.00 per hour.

I guess when (not if) gas hits $50.00 a gallon the economy will adjust again and people will earn $200.00 per hour.

Its a slow painful process of adjustment though.

Just another example of OPEC screwing us over when we could be working towards energy independence.

Goes back the early days of Bush administration when Cheney met behind closed doors with oil CEO's and we never seen what was done behind closed doors. They have some explaining to the American public.

I feel like I'm being bent over and done anlay without any lubrication.

It's 3.85 right now in the Inland Empire in CA (San Bernardino), and the day that it hits 4 oh-ANYTHING is the day that I stop driving, and get reaquainted with the bus system

I've already told myself that as soon as it hits $4 I'm getting a bike. I only live a few miles from work.

Some people say that we're cheap compared to other countries, but our cars are bigger (even my little Ford Focus is big compared to European cars), and we don't have great public transportation compared to other countries.

Also, we're paying more for everything else, because of the fuel prices, and when you put it all together it's killing the pocket book.

How ironic we are betrayed by President Bush, who cries out how "We're winning the war on terrorism"—then looks the other way and allows monopolistic price gouging by U.S. Big Oil—which is nothing short of ECONOMIC TERRORISM veiled by disguise as pure capitalism.

But equally ironic is how we bemoan this bullish onslaught of capitalism–and wind up sounding like passionate Communists, who for years into the Cold War, bashing the concept of capitalism!!

However, we must draw the line when U.S. capitalism begins to damage our country's economy—which is exactly what's being done each passing day this injustice of monopolistic price gouging by robber Big Oil barons is allowed.

It's disheartening to see how our passionate calls for positive action on per gallon price reductions fall on deaf ears of our elected officials–who surely hold dear their stocks in American and International Big Oil.

You can make safe bets such stockholders inculde Hillary Clinton, John McCain—and "pretty boy" Obama Barack; don't expect them to bite the hand that rewards their stock earnings to grow.

ALL voters would be wise to ponder on that brazen fact BEFORE casting their vote based on feelings its time a woman or black man became President of The United States. It's best to vote for the one who will cause THE LEAST amount of further U.S. economic damage.

In early moments during his first term as President, Bush promoted the idea of "corpoarate accountability"; where white crime CEOs were subjected to the same arrest and justice due any criminal found guilty of breaking the Law.

I think we all should demand Bush, Cheney–and the U.S. Big Oil robber barons ALL should face criminal charges of allowing economic damage be done to the USA, under charges of economic terrorism; the evidence shouldn't be THAT hard to gather.
