High oil and petrol prices are finally focusing attention on the real issue of meeting the future energy needs of Australia, according to a fossil fuel expert speaking at the latest Energy Security forum held in June in Parramatta, NSW.
Ian Dunlop, a petroleum engineer and international expert on peak oil, discussed the future of fossil fuels with Dr Beverley Ronalds, Group Executive, Energy, and Chief CSIRO Petroleum and Dr Allen Lowe, Chief Technologist, CRC for Coal in Sustainable Development.
